The Lee Challenger III Single Stage Press 40th Anniversary Pack is a no-frills, proven workhorse for handloaders who want to build ammo reliably without breaking the bank. This limited-edition bundle pairs Lee Precision's bestselling single-stage press with a complete 3-die Breech Lock set, giving you everything needed to start reloading centerfire rifle or pistol cartridges right out of the box. If you're tired of expensive presses loaded with features you don't need, or you're a precision shooter who values repeatability and simplicity over automation, the Challenger III delivers both.
The press itself carries forty years of design refinement into its third generation. The frame uses Lee's signature O-ring design with all-steel linkage—no plastic internals to wear out or break. The ergonomic lever reduces fatigue during long reloading sessions and won't leave you stooping at the bottom of the stroke. Spent primers drop straight through the ram into a collection tube, keeping your bench cleaner and your hands off gritty primer debris. The Breech Lock quick-change die system means you twist dies in and out with zero re-adjustment between calibers—critical when you're switching between .223 and pistol loads, or testing multiple powders in the same round.
The included 3-die set comes with colored Smart Lock bushings so you instantly know which die is which, a full-length or carbide sizing die depending on your caliber, a bullet seating die, powder-thru expanding die, universal shell holder, powder dipper, and load data instructions. Everything here is built to last and designed to work with any brand of dies if you ever want to expand your setup. It's honest equipment for serious reloaders.
