Lee Precisiom
The Lee Precision Challenger Press 40th Anniversary Edition with Breech Lock is a single-stage reloading press built for handloaders who want proven reliability without unnecessary complexity. This limited-edition kit pairs Lee's legendary Challenger III press with a complete 3-die Breech Lock set sized for 9mm, giving you everything needed to start reloading rifle or pistol ammunition. Whether you're a precision rifle shooter trimming costs per round or a handgun competitor loading thousands of rounds, the Challenger's straightforward design and fast die changes keep you focused on consistent ammunition rather than fiddling with your equipment.
The Challenger III builds on four decades of single-stage press heritage with an ergonomic lever that eliminates the awkward stooping required by older designs—a genuine quality-of-life improvement during long reloading sessions. Spent primers drop through the ram into a collection tube, keeping your workspace clean and your frame protected from primer debris and grime. The Breech Lock quick-change system is the standout feature: twist your wrist to swap dies with zero re-adjustment. Once you dial in your first load, you'll never re-adjust that die position again, even if you remove it and reinstall it later. This works with any brand of dies, not just Lee, giving you flexibility as your reloading library grows.
The included 3-die set for 9mm covers the complete reloading sequence: sizing and decapping, powder charging through the expanding die, and bullet seating. Colored Smart Lock bushings make it easy to identify dies at a glance. You'll also get a universal shell holder, powder dipper, and load data instructions—no additional purchases required to fire up your first batch. The press itself features Lee's unbreakable O-frame design and all-steel linkage, the same engineering that's made the Challenger the world's best-selling single-stage press.

Yes. The Breech Lock quick-change system works with any brand of Breech Lock-compatible dies, not just Lee. This gives you flexibility to expand your die collection from any manufacturer as your needs evolve.
You twist a Breech Lock die to remove it or install it—no tools required and no need to re-adjust die position. Once you've set up your first load, that die retains its exact position. Remove and reinstall it later, and it returns to the same setting automatically.
The Challenger III is a single-stage press, meaning you reload one round at a time, which is ideal for precision handloads or small to moderate batch reloading. If you're looking for higher-volume production, a turret or progressive press may be better suited to your needs.
