Hornady
The Hornady XTP .357 110 GR hollow point bullet is a proven choice for reloaders building ammunition for self-defense, hunting, and target shooting. These 100-count boxes deliver the controlled expansion and reliable performance that have made XTP bullets a standard across competitive shooters and serious handgun hunters alike. Whether you're loading for a snub-nose revolver or a semi-automatic platform, the 110-grain .357 XTP provides the stopping power and precision that comes from decades of ballistic engineering.
What sets the XTP apart is its design philosophy: expansion on demand, across a wide velocity range. The precise serrations in the jacket divide the bullet into symmetrical sections, weakening the structure in a way that triggers controlled mushrooming even at modest muzzle velocities. This matters when you're relying on your handgun for protection or hunting medium game. The gilding metal jacket protects the hollow-point cavity and supports reliable feeding in semi-autos, while the swaged core ensures density uniformity so expansion stays balanced and predictable.
For revolver loaders, the cannelure—applied before final forming to avoid distortion—locks the bullet into the case with crimp consistency that pays off on the range and in the field. For semi-automatic reloaders, the drawn gilding metal jacket (not plated) gives you jacket thickness that varies along the bullet's length, providing more control over expansion than uniform-thickness alternatives. With 100 bullets per box, you have enough to develop accurate loads and shoot a solid training or hunting session.
| Caliber | .357 / 38 |

| Bullet Type | Hollow Point (XTP) |
| Count Per Box | 100 |
| Jacket Material | Drawn Gilding Metal |
| Core Type | Swaged |
Yes. The gilding metal jacket design supports reliable feeding in semi-automatics, while the cannelure on the bullet supports precise crimping for revolver loads. Both platforms benefit from the controlled expansion design.
The XTP uses a drawn gilding metal jacket with varying thickness along its length to control expansion, rather than a uniform-thickness plated jacket. The swaged core ensures balanced density for predictable mushrooming across a wide velocity range, even at lower muzzle speeds.
Yes. The XTP is designed to expand reliably at a wide range of handgun velocities, so it performs on demand even with moderate powder charges used for target practice or reduced-recoil loads.
Each box contains 100 Hornady XTP .357 110 GR hollow point bullets, ready to reload into your cases.
