Yankee Hill Machine
The Yankee Hill Machine SHORT SRX Muzzle Brake in 11/16-24 thread pitch is a compact recoil reducer built for shooters who want proven flash reduction and recoil management without adding unnecessary length or weight to their rifle. Designed as part of YHM's SRX quick-detach suppressor system, this short muzzle brake uses an internal taper seal that locks your suppressor firmly in place and contains gases while firing—keeping threads clean and eliminating gas buildup that can make removal a chore. It's purpose-built for hunters, precision rifle shooters, and anyone running a suppressor on their centerfire rifle who values both performance and a low-profile aesthetic.
What sets the SRX Short brake apart is its no-fuss design philosophy. There's no shimming, no timing required, and no moving parts to wear or fail. The large taper in front of the threads ensures consistent mounting every time you attach or remove your suppressor. At just 1.6875 inches long and 0.75 inches in diameter, it adds minimal bulk to your setup while delivering the recoil reduction benefits you expect. Machined from 4140 steel and finished in black phosphate, it's built tough enough for serious field work without compromising your rifle's handling.
Keep in mind this muzzle brake must be paired with the YHM SRX Adapter (sold separately) to function as part of the complete SRX system. Once installed on your barrel, it can stay permanently attached, giving you the flexibility to use your suppressor on that rifle whenever you need it. Whether you're dialing in a long-range hunting rig or setting up a do-it-all carbine, the SRX Short brake delivers clean, lightweight mounting with the kind of no-nonsense engineering that works in the field.
