Yankee Hill Machine
The Yankee Hill Machine SHORT SRX Flash Hider in 5/8-24 is a quick-detach muzzle device built around the YHM sRx suppressor mounting system. If you're running a suppressed AR, precision rifle, or other centerfire platform and want a low-profile flash hider that integrates seamlessly with modern QD suppressors, the SHORT SRX delivers clean aesthetics without the complexity of timing, shimming, or fussy alignment. It's forged from 4140 steel with a black phosphate finish—tough enough for serious use, compact enough to keep your overall package trim.
What sets the sRx line apart is its internal taper seal design. The taper locks in your suppressor and forms a solid gas seal at the threads, which means no buildup of carbon, debris, or fouling on the muzzle-device threads themselves. That translates to easier maintenance, more reliable mounting cycle after cycle, and less hassle in the field or at the range. The SHORT SRX adds just 1.175 inches to your barrel (for barrels with standard 0.6-inch thread depth) and weighs minimal extra, so your rifle stays handy and balanced.
This is a purpose-built component for shooters who want their suppressed setup to feel finished and solid. It works with the YHM sRx Adapter (sold separately) and mounts to the industry-standard 1-3/8-inch x 24 HUB interface found on YHM sRx suppressors. No moving parts, no springs to wear—just clean engineering that respects your build's look and your workflow.

You'll also need the separate YHM sRx Adapter to complete the system. Check your suppressor's specs to confirm HUB compatibility.
No. The sRx design eliminates the need for timing or shimming. The large internal taper in front of the threads allows consistent, true mounting without additional alignment steps—just screw it on and go.
This model is 5/8-24, the most common pitch for larger-caliber centerfire rifles. Yankee Hill also offers the SHORT SRX in 5/8-32 and 11/16-24 thread sizes if your barrel requires a different pitch.
The SHORT SRX is 1.8125 inches long and adds 1.175 inches of length to your barrel (on barrels with standard 0.6-inch thread depth). It's engineered to be one of the lighter QD mounting options on the market, keeping your rifle balanced and handy.
