Weaver
The Weaver #74 top mount 1-piece base is a straightforward, solid mounting solution for shooters building a rifle scope setup. This aluminum base offers the simplicity of a single-piece design—no assembly required, no juggling multiple components—and comes finished in gloss black. It's the kind of no-fuss foundation that lets you focus on glass and shooting rather than wrestling with your mounting hardware.
Weaver has been making rifle scope bases for generations, and the #74 carries that tradition of dependable engineering. A 1-piece top-mount base eliminates the complexity and potential for shift that can come with two-piece systems, and it mounts directly to the top of your receiver. The design is available for most common firearms, which means you've got a good chance of finding the right model for your platform without having to search obscure specialty suppliers.
Setup is straightforward—the base comes with fasteners specifically designed to secure it solidly to your rifle, and you won't need to modify your receiver or action. That matters when you're trying to maintain the integrity of your firearm and get back to the range or field without delay. The gloss finish strikes a practical balance: it resists corrosion and blends with traditional rifle aesthetics, though it will show dust and fingerprints more than matte alternatives.

The #74 is available for most common firearms. Check the product listing for your specific gun make and model, as Weaver bases are manufactured with variations to match different receiver tops.
No. The #74 is designed to mount directly to your receiver without alterations. It comes with purpose-made fasteners for a secure fit.
A 1-piece base is machined as a single unit and mounts in one operation, eliminating the potential for shift between two separate components. Many shooters prefer them for consistency and simplicity, though both designs work well when properly installed.
The base itself accepts any scope with standard Weaver-compatible rings. The compatibility between scope and base depends on the rings you choose, not the base itself.
