Weaver
The Weaver #18 Top Mount Base is a lightweight aluminum scope mounting solution designed to secure your optics on a broad range of rifle platforms. Whether you're building a precision long-range rig, setting up a hunting rifle, or mounting glass on a shotgun or handgun, this gloss-finished base delivers the simplicity and reliability that have made Weaver mounts a fixture in gun rooms for decades. Because bases are sold individually, you'll order both front and rear bases to complete your two-piece mounting system—giving you flexibility to tailor spacing and height to your specific rifle and sight picture.
Weaver bases are engineered to work across multiple rifle generations and action types, making the #18 a practical choice whether your gun is a classic or modern platform. The gloss finish resists corrosion while maintaining a traditional aesthetic. Aluminum construction keeps weight minimal, which matters when every ounce counts on a hunting or long-range rifle.
Installation straightforward: the base mounts via your rifle's factory drilled and tapped holes. If you're uncertain which Weaver base fits your specific gun, Weaver offers a model reference guide—the #18 is one of many options in their lineup, with variants ranging from #68 through #604 depending on your rifle's design and mounting pattern.
Bases are sold individually. You'll need to order both a front and rear base to complete your mounting system. Some Weaver base models are available as matched pairs (marked with * or ** in their product line), but the #18 is sold as a single unit.
The Weaver #18 is designed to fit a wide variety of modern and older rifles, as well as shotguns and long-range handguns, provided your gun has factory drilled and tapped holes compatible with Weaver bases. Weaver maintains a model reference guide to help you identify the correct base for your rifle. If you're unsure, verify your gun's mounting pattern before ordering.
Weaver bases use a specific mounting pattern and interface. The #18 is part of Weaver's established lineup and offers proven compatibility across a broad range of firearms. Weaver also produces one-piece base options and base-pair sets for certain models if that style better suits your application.
