Weatherby
The Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT SB in .22 Creed with 16" barrel and muzzle brake is a precision rifle purpose-built for hunters and long-range shooters who refuse to compromise between portability and performance. Built on Weatherby's new Model 307 bolt-action platform, this chassis rifle pairs the inherent accuracy of the 2-lug fully cylindrical action with MDT's HNT26 ultra-light carbon fiber chassis system—a collaboration that delivers a genuinely compact rifle without sacrificing the modular capability serious shooters demand.
The standout feature is the foldable buttstock, which collapses the rifle to roughly 9 inches shorter overall length, making the Alpine MDT one of the most packable precision rifles available. That matters when you're glassing ridge to ridge in steep country, navigating timber, or running a precision rifle from a vehicle platform. The fluted, 16-inch barrel topped with a muzzle brake keeps the gun nimble while managing recoil, and the graphite black Cerakote finish on the barrel, receiver, and bolt knob handles the elements without drawing attention.
Because the Model 307 action is a 2-lug fully cylindrical platform, it's compatible with a vast ecosystem of aftermarket stocks, triggers, rails, mounts, and magazines—meaning you're not locked into Weatherby's ecosystem if you want to tune the rifle later. Whether you're hunting alpine terrain, running a precision rifle course, or pushing long-range shots in open country, the Alpine MDT is built to be genuinely light in pack and hand without the compromises baked into rifles designed for one role.

Yes. The Model 307 action uses a 2-lug fully cylindrical design that's compatible with a wide range of aftermarket stocks, triggers, rails, mounts, and magazines currently available in the market.
The .22 Creedmoor is a precision cartridge designed for long-range accuracy and rifle competition. It's also used for hunting varmints and medium-sized game where precision and velocity are priorities.
The muzzle brake reduces felt recoil and helps manage the rifle's impulse, improving your ability to spot shots and maintain control—especially valuable in a lightweight alpine rifle where recoil can be pronounced.
