Weatherby
The Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT in .338 Weatherby Magnum is a modern bolt-action rifle built on Weatherby's latest 2-lug action platform, paired with a purpose-built MDT chassis system. This rifle merges Weatherby's engineering heritage with today's modular aftermarket ecosystem, giving you a lightweight, field-ready platform that doesn't ask you to choose between accuracy and portability. The .338 Weatherby Magnum chambering delivers serious power for long-range hunting and demanding mountain work, while the 24-inch fluted barrel with brake helps manage recoil and muzzle rise without sacrificing ballistics.
What sets the Alpine MDT apart is its carbon fiber chassis paired with a foldable buttstock—collapse it down and you've trimmed over 9 inches of overall length, making this rifle genuinely compact for backcountry hunting or vehicle storage without compromising shooting quality. The 2-lug action design means you can swap stocks, triggers, rails, and mounts from the broader MDT ecosystem and other compatible aftermarket components, so you can tune the rifle exactly to your needs and shooting style. Graphite black Cerakote covers the receiver, bolt, and barrel, giving the Alpine a professional, no-nonsense finish that stands up to field use.
Weatherby built the 307 as a complement to its Mark V and Vanguard lineups—all proven names in American hunting and competition shooting. If you're looking for a modern, modular long-range hunting rifle or a mountain platform that doesn't weigh you down, the Alpine MDT puts serious capability in your hands.
