SIERRA BULLETS
The Sierra MatchKing 22 Cal 80 Grain HPBT Bullets in .224 diameter are built for handloaders who demand match-grade accuracy on the range and in the field. These hollow point boat tail rounds represent the precision engineering that's made MatchKing bullets the go-to choice for competitive shooters and serious reloaders worldwide. Whether you're fine-tuning loads for a 22-250 Remington, .224 Valkyrie, or another medium-bore cartridge, these 80-grain projectiles deliver the consistency and ballistic performance that separate good groups from great ones.
Sierra engineered these bullets with ultra-thin jackets and exacting tolerances for weight and diameter—the kind of quality control that matters when you're chasing tight groups at distance. The hollow point boat tail design includes a small meplat that optimizes ballistic coefficient, giving your handloads a flatter trajectory and better wind-bucking performance than standard alternatives. That's why match competitors and long-range shooters have trusted MatchKing bullets for decades.
Reloading with quality components means your ammunition is only as good as the weakest link. These 80-grain pills give you a foundation of consistency—uniform weight, concentricity, and aerodynamic performance—so that when your groups open up, you know it's the load, not the bullet. Stock up for a full season of load development or competition without worrying about lot-to-lot variation.

These .224 diameter, 80-grain MatchKing bullets are suitable for cartridges that accept 22-caliber projectiles, such as the 22-250 Remington, .224 Valkyrie, and similar medium-bore .22 caliber rounds. Always verify compatibility with your specific firearm and loading manual before beginning any load development.
MatchKing bullets are engineered to exacting standards with ultra-thin jackets and precise weight and diameter tolerances. The hollow point boat tail design with small meplat produces a high ballistic coefficient, delivering superior accuracy and consistent performance that competitive shooters depend on—both on the range and in match conditions.
Yes. Sierra designed these bullets for medium to long-range shooting applications. The optimized boat tail and meplat geometry produce a ballistic coefficient that supports extended-range accuracy and flatter trajectories compared to standard bullets.
