SIERRA BULLETS
The Sierra MatchKing 30 Cal 190-Grain HPBT bullet is purpose-built for shooters who demand match-grade accuracy at extended range. With a 308 diameter and hollow-point boat-tail design, this .30 caliber round is engineered to shoot tight groups on the target line—exactly where Sierra's reputation was forged. Whether you're handloading for F-Class competition, long-range precision rifle matches, or dedicated range work, these bullets deliver the concentricity and weight consistency that separate MOA groups from scattered shots.
Each Sierra MatchKing is held to exacting manufacturing standards: jacket concentricity is controlled to 0.0003 inch maximum variation, and weight tolerance is ±0.3 grain. That level of uniformity matters when you're chasing sub-minute-of-angle performance. The small hollow-point meplat and boat-tail profile minimize drag across the velocity spectrum, yielding a high ballistic coefficient that keeps these rounds supersonic longer and resistant to wind drift. You get the ballistics of a premium target bullet without paying premium prices.
These bullets are not intended for hunting applications. They're built for the discipline of precision shooting—the kind where consistency is everything and performance is measured in half-minute groups, not bigger game. If you're building loads for your competition rifle, training on steel, or simply want to know exactly what's going downrange, Sierra MatchKing 190-grain rounds offer the reliability and accuracy that have made them a standard in competitive shooting for decades.
| Caliber | 30 Cal (.308 diameter) |
| Weight | 190 grains |
| Bullet Type | Hollow-Point Boat-Tail (HPBT) |
| Jacket Concentricity | 0.0003 inch maximum variation |
| Weight Tolerance | ±0.3 grain |
Sierra MatchKing 190-grain bullets are .308 diameter and are designed for .30 caliber rifle cartridges. Confirm your specific cartridge's recommended bullet diameter and seating specifications before loading.
No. Sierra MatchKing bullets are not recommended for hunting applications. They are engineered exclusively for target shooting, competition, and precision range work.
The tight jacket concentricity (0.0003 inch maximum) and strict weight tolerance (±0.3 grain) ensure that each bullet performs identically. The hollow-point boat-tail design provides a high ballistic coefficient, which means consistent flight characteristics and minimal wind drift variation.
These are bullets only—reloading components. You will need powder, primer, and cases to assemble complete rounds.
