Savage Arms
The Savage 64F .22LR semi-automatic rifle is a natural choice for shooters looking to build marksmanship fundamentals without breaking the bank or your shoulder. This light-recoiling rimfire delivers Savage Arms' reputation for accuracy in a straightforward, reliable package—ideal for new shooters, small-game hunters, plinking, or teaching kids and family the basics of rifle handling. The 64F chambers affordable .22 Long Rifle ammunition and feeds it reliably through a detachable 10-round box magazine, so you can spend more time shooting and less time reloading.
Built around a proven straight-blowback semi-automatic action, the Model 40222 pairs a 21-inch carbon steel barrel (1-in-16 twist) with a rugged synthetic stock and open iron sights—no frills, no unnecessary weight. The matte-blued barrel and matte-black receiver keep things corrosion-resistant and professional-looking, while the synthetic furniture is genuinely durable and requires zero maintenance. At just 5 pounds, it shoulders easily whether you're at the range, in the field, or introducing someone new to shooting.
The open sights—a front bead and adjustable rear—are simple and effective, and the grooved receiver gives you the option to mount optics down the road if you want. This is a rifle that works, lasts, and asks very little in return. Whether you're zeroing in on accuracy training, plinking with friends, or hunting rabbits and squirrels, the 64F delivers the reliability and inherent accuracy Savage is known for.
