The PTR GI 100 .308 Win rifle is a semi-automatic platform built for shooters who want a modern sporting rifle in a proven, hard-hitting caliber. At 18 inches, the barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and handling—short enough for tight quarters and vehicles, long enough to wring solid performance from the .308 Winchester cartridge. Weighing 9.5 pounds and measuring 40.5 inches overall, this rifle is nimble without sacrificing stability. The green furniture gives it a distinctive look that stands apart from the sea of black tactical rifles, while the semi-automatic action means you'll control the rate of fire for hunting, sport shooting, or training on your own terms.
PTR Industries has a reputation for building rifles that run hard and last. The GI 100 is rated in good working condition by NRA standards—minor wear on working surfaces is normal for a rifle built to be used, not displayed. If you're shopping for a .308 rifle that doesn't look like everyone else's and handles like a short-barreled carbine, the green finish and compact profile make this one worth a close look. The 20-round magazine capacity gives you practical firepower for longer range sessions without constant reloads.
This is a rifle for hunters who want real power in a package that doesn't overstay its welcome in a truck bed, and for shooters who value a platform that's straightforward, effective, and ready to work.
| Caliber | .308 Winchester |
| Action Type | Semi-Automatic |
| Barrel Length | 18 inches |
| Overall Length | 40.5 inches |
| Weight | 9.5 pounds |

The .308 Winchester is effective at distance, but an 18-inch barrel trades some velocity for compactness. You'll still have solid ballistics for hunting and target work well past 300 yards, depending on your ammunition and intended game. The exact performance depends on your load and shooting conditions.
Yes. The .308 Winchester is a time-proven hunting cartridge with plenty of stopping power for most North American game. The 18-inch barrel and compact profile make it maneuverable in the field or from a vehicle, and the 20-round magazine gives you flexibility for longer range sessions.
The rifle is in safe working condition with minor wear on working surfaces—this is normal for a rifle built to be used. There are no broken parts and no corrosion or pitting that will interfere with proper function. It's a practical, serviceable firearm, not a collector's piece.
