The PROOF BBL CF Blank Bolt .264 Sendero 18" 1:8 Twist carbon fiber rifle barrel is a match-grade, gunsmith-ready blank built for shooters who refuse to compromise on weight, strength, or accuracy. If you're building a precision rifle where every ounce matters—whether for long-range hunting, competition, or backcountry glassing days—this barrel delivers the engineering that separates purpose-built components from off-the-shelf parts. PROOF Research has engineered these carbon fiber barrels to be approximately 64% lighter than traditional steel while maintaining the rigidity and thermal stability serious shooters demand.
Carbon fiber construction means you're getting material that's roughly 10 times stronger than steel by weight, paired with inherent resistance to corrosion and cosmetic damage. The .264 Sendero profile in 18 inches strikes a practical balance for modern magnum cartridges—short enough to manage, long enough to extract legitimate velocity. The 1:8 twist accommodates the heaviest .264 bullets, giving you flexibility in load development and bullet selection.
This is a blank barrel, so you'll need a qualified gunsmith to thread it and cut the chamber to your specification. That final step ensures perfect headspace and fit for your action. Once properly finished, you'll notice the difference in felt recoil, swing speed, and fatigue during long sessions on the bench or in the field. The improved heat dissipation that carbon wrapping provides means your barrel stays cooler under sustained fire, supporting consistency when it matters.
| Caliber | .264 |
| Profile | Sendero |
| Length | 18 inches |
| Twist Rate | 1:8 |
| Finish | Carbon fiber blank, unthreaded, unchamebered |
| Type | Bolt-action rifle barrel |
No. This is a gunsmith blank. It arrives unthreaded and unchamebered. You'll need to send it to a qualified gunsmith to thread it to your action and cut the chamber to your cartridge specifications before it can be used.
PROOF carbon fiber barrels are approximately 64% lighter than comparable traditional steel barrels of the same profile and length.
The 1:8 twist is suitable for heavier .264 bullets, giving you broad flexibility in bullet selection and handload development.
No. PROOF Research's carbon fiber construction prevents point-of-impact shift even during high-volume fire, thanks to improved heat dissipation and reduced harmonic vibration.
