The Pro-Shot MP3035 bore mop is a go-to tool for rifle maintenance in calibers .30 through .35. Built from 100 percent cotton with a brass core, this mop handles quick cleaning and bore lubrication on rifles including .30 Cal., 7.62mm, .303 Cal., .308 Cal., 8mm, .338 Cal., and .35 Cal. platforms. The cotton construction is especially effective when paired with oil-based bore lubricants, creating a foaming action that helps work solvent and lube deeper into the bore.

Whether you're breaking in a new barrel, maintaining a hunting rifle between seasons, or keeping a range gun in top shape, a quality bore mop beats patch loops for even distribution of cleaning solution and lubricant. Pro-Shot mops are built to last—the brass core won't corrode or degrade, and the cotton won't shred or leave fibers behind. The #8-32 thread standard fits most American-spec cleaning rod tips, so it works with the rod you already have in your kit.

Keep one in your field pack and another at the bench. At this price point, there's no reason not to have a dedicated mop for different caliber families, and a cotton mop will outlast a box of patches for routine maintenance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers does the MP3035 bore mop fit?

The Pro-Shot MP3035 is designed for .30 to .35 caliber rifles, including .30 Cal., 7.62mm, .303 Cal., .308 Cal., 8mm, .338 Cal., and .35 Cal.

Will this mop work with my cleaning rod?

If your rod uses the standard American #8-32 thread, yes. Most American-spec cleaning rods feature this thread size. Check your rod's tip to confirm.

Is the Pro-Shot bore mop reusable?

Yes. The 100 percent cotton construction and brass core are built to withstand repeated cleaning and lubrication cycles, making it a durable, long-term tool rather than a disposable patch.

How do I use it with bore lubricant?

Apply your oil-based bore lubricant to the mop, then run it through the bore. The cotton fibers create a foaming action that helps distribute the lubricant evenly and work it deeper into the bore for more effective lubrication.
