Mid-Lakes Nets
The Mid Lakes Nylon Minnow Seine 414-4 x 8 is a workhorse net for anyone serious about collecting live bait. Built from durable Cumberland nylon yarns, this minnow seine combines the strength you need for repeated use with practical design details that make field work easier. Unlike cotton or polyester alternatives, nylon won't absorb water or deteriorate from moisture exposure—a real advantage when you're spending long days on the water or storing gear between trips.
The seine stands 4 feet tall with 1/4" mesh openings, sized to effectively target small forage fish without the hassle of heavy, waterlogged netting. Rolled corners reinforce high-stress areas to resist tearing when you're dragging through weeds, rocks, or debris. The lead sinkers weighted along the bottom edge keep the net vertical and working as it should, while water-resistant floats on the top edge maintain proper tension and visibility. Mildew resistance means you can rinse and store it without worrying about rot or odor buildup—a real quality-of-life feature for gear that lives in damp conditions.
This is the kind of seine that earns its place in your tackle rotation through reliability rather than flashy features. It handles the work without fuss, and the material science means it'll outlast cheaper alternatives by years. Whether you're stocking bait for a fishing trip, seining for research, or running a commercial operation, nylon construction delivers durability where it matters most.
