Mid-Lakes Nets
The Mid Lakes Nylon Minnow Seine 414-4 x 15 is a workhorse net for anyone who needs to gather live bait or manage small fish populations. Built from durable Cumberland nylon yarns, this seine outperforms cotton and polyester alternatives—it won't absorb water, resists mildew, and stands up to repeated use in creeks, ponds, and shallow waters where anglers and hatchery managers spend their time.
At 4 feet in height with 1/4-inch mesh, this net strikes a practical balance between reach and handling. The mesh size is fine enough to contain minnows and fry without letting them slip through, yet open enough to move water freely as you work. Rolled corners throughout the seine prevent tearing at stress points—a detail that extends the life of a tool you might use dozens of times a season. Lead sinkers on the bottom edge keep the net open and sinking as intended, while water-resistant floats on the top edge ensure the seine stays positioned correctly in the water column.
Whether you're restocking a farm pond, collecting shiners and shad for live bait, or conducting stream surveys, this is the kind of reliable net that pays for itself through durability and consistent performance. No fussy maintenance, no water-logged fabric after hours in the field—just a dependable seine ready to go every time you need it.
