Luth-Ar
The Luth-AR .223/5.56 AR-15 Rifle Length Gas Tube is a factory-quality stainless steel replacement component for your AR platform. Whether you're rebuilding a rifle, upgrading from a worn part, or maintaining a piston gun, a quality gas tube matters—it regulates the flow of high-pressure gas from the barrel to your bolt carrier group, directly affecting reliability and shot-to-shot consistency. Luth-AR's stainless steel construction resists corrosion and heat cycling, making it a solid choice for hunters, competition shooters, and range regulars running standard-profile AR-15s.
This is a rifle-length gas tube, the longest of the AR's four common lengths. Rifle-length systems run from the gas block back toward the receiver, giving the gas more distance to cool and expand before entering the carrier. That characteristics can contribute to softer recoil impulse and easier extraction of spent casings compared to shorter tube options, though the right length ultimately depends on your rifle's specific gas block placement and intended use. If you're swapping an existing tube or building from a stripped lower, verify your rifle's gas system length before ordering—the difference between rifle, mid, carbine, and pistol lengths isn't interchangeable.
Luth-AR manufactures these tubes to fit standard AR-15 rifles in .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. Stainless steel means less maintenance headache in the field and longer service life, whether you're hunting in wet conditions or running high round counts at the range.
| Tube Type | Rifle Length |
| Caliber Compatibility | .223 Remington / 5.56 NATO |
| Material | Stainless Steel |
| Platform | AR-15 |
| Manufacturer | Luth-AR |
This is a rifle-length tube for standard AR-15 rifles chambered in .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO. Before purchasing, confirm your rifle uses a rifle-length gas system. If your gun has a carbine, mid-length, or pistol-length gas block, you'll need the corresponding tube instead.
AR-15 gas tubes come in four lengths: rifle, mid, carbine, and pistol. Rifle-length tubes are the longest, running from the gas block back toward the receiver. The length affects gas pressure arrival time and can influence recoil feel and extraction behavior. Your rifle's gas block location determines which length you need.
Stainless steel resists rust and corrosion better than standard carbon steel, especially if you shoot in wet conditions, hunt in humid climates, or store your rifle long-term. It also handles repeated heat cycles without degradation, extending the service life of the tube.
Yes, as long as your AR-15 is chambered in .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO and uses a rifle-length gas system. If you're unsure about your current setup, measure your gas block location or consult your rifle's documentation before ordering.
