Luth-Ar
The Luth-AR AR-15 .223 Carbine Buffer Tube Assembly is a mil-spec complete kit built for shooters who need a straightforward, reliable recoil management system. Whether you're building a rifle from scratch, replacing a worn buffer tube, or upgrading a completed upper, this assembly delivers the performance and durability that mil-spec AR platforms demand. It's the kind of no-nonsense component that takes the guesswork out of matching buffer weights, springs, and tube dimensions—everything arrives as a matched system ready to install.
Mil-spec carbine buffer tubes are the standard across most AR-15 platforms, and this kit respects that design heritage. The assembly includes all the major components you need for proper bolt carrier group cycling: the tube itself sized to mil-spec diameter, a standard carbine recoil buffer, a .223-spec recoil spring tuned to that buffer weight, an end plate to seat the tube against the receiver, and a castle nut to lock it all in place. The fit and finish reflect Luth-AR's reputation for straightforward, functional components that don't cut corners on materials or manufacturing.
This is the choice for builders and gunsmiths who value consistency and compatibility. A mil-spec buffer tube assembly is the foundation of reliable function—get it right, and the rest of your system will work as designed. Luth-AR's approach here is pure function: no synthetic furniture, no proprietary dimensions, just the tube, spring, buffer, and hardware you need to manage recoil and cycle your rifle reliably.
| Brand | Luth-AR LLC |
| Product Type | Buffer Tube Assembly |
| Caliber Specification | .223 |
| Buffer Tube Diameter | Mil-Spec Carbine |
| Platform | AR-15 |
| Kit Includes | Carbine buffer tube, carbine recoil buffer, .223 recoil spring, receiver end plate, castle nut |
Yes. The mil-spec carbine tube diameter is the standard across virtually all AR-15 lower receivers. As long as your lower is standard mil-spec (not proprietary or non-standard), this assembly will fit directly.
The complete assembly includes the mil-spec carbine buffer tube, a standard carbine recoil buffer, a .223-spec recoil spring, the receiver end plate, and the castle nut. All the core components are included—you won't need to source parts separately.
This kit is specified for .223. The recoil spring and buffer are tuned to that caliber. Using it with a different chambering may result in cycling issues or suboptimal performance.
Yes. Installation involves sliding the tube onto the receiver extension, seating the end plate, and securing the castle nut. Standard AR-15 tools and knowledge are all you need.
