L.E. Wilson
The L.E. Wilson 5.56mm bushing full length die gives precision reloaders control over neck tension while sizing the rest of the cartridge in one stroke. Built from hardened steel to L.E. Wilson's exacting specs—harder than Grade 8 bolts—this die is engineered for shooters who want consistency and accuracy in their handloads. The bushing-type design lets you dial in exactly how much neck sizing you want, making it ideal for both high-volume shooters and those chasing tight groups at the range.
What sets this die apart is its leave 3/16" unsized at the bottom of the case neck—a practice many experienced reloaders prefer over full-neck sizing because it reduces case work hardening and improves accuracy. The die includes an adjustable depth decapping rod and an extra decapping punch, so you're ready to start resizing brass right out of the box. Standard 7/8" threaded shank fits any conventional reloading press.
L.E. Wilson equipped this die with stainless parts for durability and long-term reliability. The included lock nut is built to their exacting tolerances. Since neck bushings are sold separately, you'll choose your bushing size based on your desired neck tension—L.E. Wilson bushings are the natural choice, though Redding bushings will also fit. This is serious equipment for shooters who understand that case prep and consistent sizing are where accuracy begins.

The L.E. Wilson 5.56mm bushing full length die has a standard 7/8" threaded shank, so it works with any conventional reloading press that accepts that thread size.
No, this is a sizing-only die and does not include an expander. It's designed to size the shoulder and body while allowing you to control neck tension with your chosen bushing.
Leaving the bottom of the case neck unsized reduces repeated work hardening of the brass and is a practice many precision reloaders prefer because it can improve accuracy and case longevity compared to full-neck sizing.
