IWI US
The IWI US Galil Ace GEN II in 5.45x39 is a semi-auto rifle that carries decades of proven battle-rifle reliability into a modern, American-made platform. Built on the legacy of the original Galil design—itself refined from the AK and Finnish Valmet—the Galil Ace GEN II pairs that legendary pedigree with genuine improvements for today's shooter. This 16-inch 5.45x39 carbine is engineered for those who want a dependable, accurate rifle that handles like a purpose-built tool, whether on the range or in the field.
The GEN II refinements show IWI's commitment to listening to real shooters. The left-side reciprocating charging handle works from either hand; the updated safety throw is shorter and faster; and the new trigger profile feels crisp and predictable. Up top, a full-length two-piece Picatinny rail gives you mounting flexibility, while the free-float M-LOK handguard—slotted at 3 and 9 o'clock—lets you attach gear exactly where you need it. The side-folding, adjustable buttstock collapses for tight spaces and extends for a proper sight picture, and it's M4-compatible so you can swap stocks if you want. Out of the box, it ships with a Magpul CTR and riser.
Ballistics and ergonomics matter, and the Galil Ace GEN II delivers on both. The barrel is chrome-lined cold hammer-forged CrMoV steel, rifled 1:7.5 inch twist, built to handle the 5.45x39 round with precision and longevity. It feeds Magpul PMAG 30 AK74 MOE magazines and operates via a long-stroke, closed rotating bolt gas piston—the same reliable system that's proven itself over decades. At 8 lbs 12.6 oz unloaded, it's light enough to carry all day without feeling like a toy. The overall length runs 36 inches with the stock collapsed, extending to 39 inches for shooting.
This rifle is assembled in the US from imported and US parts under federal law. Note that US-made magazines are required for legal compliance; imported magazines may violate 922(r) regulations.
