Hornady
If you're handloading .38 Special or .357 Magnum rounds, a quality full length sizing die is foundational to consistent, safe ammunition. The Hornady 38 Special, 357 Magnum Full Length Die is engineered for the precision and reliability that serious reloaders depend on, whether you're developing match-grade loads for your revolver or working up hunting ammunition. Hornady's Custom Grade construction delivers the kind of machining accuracy that translates directly into repeatable case dimensions and smoother press operation.
Full length sizing is essential for magnum revolver cartridges—it ensures uniform case dimensions across your batch, which matters for pressure consistency and feeding reliability. This die handles both .38 Special and .357 Magnum cases, making it a practical choice if you work with both cartridges in your reloading rotation. The internal finish on Hornady Custom Grade dies is renowned in the reloading community for its smoothness, which reduces press effort and wear over time.
Built to last your reloading lifetime, this die is precision-machined to tight tolerances and backed by Hornady's confidence in their manufacturing. It's the kind of component that disappears into your workflow—reliable, consistent, and unfussy—freeing you to focus on what matters: load development and shot placement downrange.
This Hornady full length sizing die handles both .38 Special and .357 Magnum cases, so you can use it for either cartridge in your reloading press.
Full length sizing resizes the entire case—walls, shoulder, and neck—which is important for magnum revolver cartridges to ensure uniform dimensions, consistent pressure, and reliable feeding across batches.
Hornady Custom Grade dies use standard .200" diameter threads and fit any single-stage, progressive, or turret press with standard American reloading press toolheads. Confirm your press accepts standard thread dies before ordering.
This listing is for the full length sizing die only. Depending on your reloading setup, you may also need a powder measure die, seating die, and crimp die to complete your reload process for these cartridges.
