The Hornady 38 Special, 357 Magnum bullet seating die is a precision reloading die built to handle both revolver cartridges with the same exacting standards you'd expect from a component engineered for handgun ammunition. Whether you're loading target rounds or defensive loads, this seating die ensures consistent bullet seating depth—a critical factor in accuracy and safety. The die is constructed from carefully selected steel and heat-treated for lasting durability, so you can reload thousands of rounds with confidence that it won't wear out or fail under normal use.

What sets this seater die apart is the sliding alignment sleeve, which keeps the bullet, case mouth, and seating stem perfectly aligned before the bullet enters the case. This alignment feature reduces runout and inconsistency, resulting in better round-to-round uniformity. The die also includes a built-in crimp ring, so you can apply a crimp as needed for magnum loads or raise it away for a straight seating operation—flexibility that matters when you're fine-tuning handloads for different shooting applications.

Every die ships with Hornady's signature double-flat die lock rings already installed, eliminating a setup step. The custom plastic storage box keeps your die organized and protected between reloading sessions. Hornady backs this die with a guarantee against wear or breakage under normal use, so your investment in handgun reloading is protected for the long haul.
