The Hornady XTP 9mm .355 147 GR Hollow Point Bullets are purpose-built handgun projectiles engineered for consistent expansion and reliable performance across a wide range of velocities. Whether you're reloading ammunition for defensive carry, hunting, or target practice, these 147-grain hollow points deliver the kind of terminal performance that has made them a trusted choice among serious reloaders for decades. The 100-count box gives you enough quality brass-jacketed bullets to work up loads and put rounds downrange without interruption.

What sets the XTP apart in the 9mm hollow point category is the engineering behind controlled, predictable expansion. The gilding metal jacket is drawn—not plated—which allows Hornady to vary jacket thickness along the bullet's length. This deliberate variation controls how and when the bullet expands, something uniform-jacket plated bullets simply can't do. The result is expansion that works reliably even at lower velocities, paired with deep penetration for real-world stopping power. The hollow cavity is protected by the jacket nose, ensuring the bullet feeds reliably in semi-automatic pistols and expands properly on impact.

Each bullet features precise serrations that divide the projectile into symmetrical sections, strategically weakening the jacket to initiate expansion with consistency. The swaged core—formed to exact density specs—ensures balanced, predictable expansion and flight stability shot after shot. On revolver-ready variants, the cannelure is applied before final forming to prevent distortion and help you achieve accurate, consistent crimping. Whether you're hand-loading for a Glock, M&P, or revolver, these bullets reward attention to detail with performance you can count on.
