Henry Repeating Arms
The Henry Big Boy All-Weather Side Gate .357 Magnum rifle is a rugged lever-action carbine built for shooters who want a compact, handy rifle chambered in a cartridge that bridges centerfire rifle and revolver ballistics. At 20 inches of barrel and 37.5 inches overall, it splits the difference between a full-size rifle and a truck gun—light enough to carry but with enough reach for hunting or recreational shooting out to reasonable distances. The .357 Magnum/.38 Special chambering gives you versatility: hunt with full-power mag loads, practice affordably with .38 Special, or run it in tandem with a .357 revolver if you're building a caliber-matched battery.
The all-weather construction starts with a hard chrome-plated round barrel and industrial-grade hard chrome satin receiver finish designed to stand up to moisture, dust, and rough handling without fussing over constant cleaning. The stained hardwood furniture is topped with the same durable industrial coating found on the action, so this rifle shrugs off the elements without the plastic feel of a modern synthetic. A black rubber recoil pad absorbs felt recoil and won't slip off your shoulder in wet conditions.
The side gate loading system lets you feed rounds one at a time without opening the receiver—a practical touch that keeps operation smooth and the gun pointed downrange. Ten-round capacity is plenty for hunting or deliberate target work. The lever action is smooth and familiar; the transfer bar safety is intuitive. Fully adjustable semi-buckhorn sights with a diamond insert up top and a brass bead front sight come ready to use, and the receiver is drilled and tapped with factory scope rings available if you want to mount glass. At 7 pounds, it's light enough for a day afield without becoming fatiguing over hours of carry.
This is a working rifle for hunters, target shooters, and anyone who appreciates lever-action simplicity paired with modern metallurgy that actually stands up to field use.
