Henry Repeating Arms
The Henry Big Boy Side Gate .357 Mag lever-action rifle combines classic American gunmaking with modern convenience. This is a .357 Magnum/.38 Special rifle built for hunters and shooters who want the reliability of a lever gun paired with the practical advantage of a loading gate—no more fumbling with a tube magazine. The 20-inch octagon barrel gives you manageable handling in brush or from a stand, and the 1:16 twist keeps rounds stable downrange. With a 10-round capacity and that iconic Henry color case-hardened receiver, you're carrying a rifle that looks as good as it works.
The Big Boy Side Gate handles double-duty between the range and the field. If you're working with .357 Mag or standard .38 Special ammo, this rifle gives you flexibility many hunters appreciate—lighter recoil options for practice or varmints, full-power loads when you need them. The fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with diamond insert lets you dial in at distance, while the brass bead front sight stays visible in low light. The walnut furniture feels substantial without excess weight, and the rifle comes in at 7.84 lbs—light enough for a full day, solid enough to shoot straight.
Setup is straightforward: the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts if you want to upgrade optics, and it ships with swivel studs for sling attachment. The transfer bar safety keeps things secure, and that black rubber recoil pad absorbs what little kick .357 Mag produces. This is a rifle that respects tradition but doesn't ignore what works in the real world.
