Federal Premium HammerDown 44 Remington Magnum ammunition is purpose-built for lever-action rifles—the first factory load engineered from the ground up specifically for those classic platforms. Whether you're running a Henry, Marlin, or Winchester, HammerDown delivers the reliability and terminal performance that lever-gun hunters and shooters demand. Each 20-round box contains 270-grain bonded soft point bullets loaded to 1715 fps, optimized to function flawlessly through tubular magazines and side-gate loaders while delivering consistent expansion on game.

The real engineering here is in the details. Federal modified the case geometry and chamfered it for smoother feeding through lever-action systems, eliminating the feeding hang-ups that can plague standard rifle ammo in tubular magazines. The 270-grain bonded soft point bullet is specifically tailored to perform at lever-gun velocities, expanding reliably while retaining weight for deep penetration on deer and hog-sized game. Nickel-plated brass adds durability and corrosion resistance in the field.

If you've been running generic rifle rounds through your lever gun and wondering why feeding feels rough or why your shots don't group like they should, HammerDown changes the equation. Developed in partnership with Henry Repeating Arms, this ammunition finally treats lever guns like the capable hunting rifles they are, not as an afterthought. Load it in the side gate or through the tube with confidence—HammerDown cycles like it was born in your magazine.
