EGW
The EGW .38 Super 7-Hole Cartridge Checker is a precision measuring tool designed to catch out-of-spec ammunition before it reaches your chamber. Whether you're running factory loads or your own reloads, this checker verifies that your .38 Super rounds meet chamber specifications—helping you avoid feeding problems, jams, and misfires that cost range time and confidence. Built from 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and machined with actual Clymer reamers, it's the kind of straightforward, no-nonsense tool that separates careful reloaders from guesswork.
The 7-hole design lets you check multiple rounds at once, making quality control faster during your reloading process. The checker measures both minimum case diameter and maximum overall length, giving you the two critical dimensions that determine whether a round will chamber safely and function reliably. It's finished in anodized matte black—durable and low-glare for the bench.
If you take reloading seriously, a chamber checker isn't optional; it's insurance against the wasted effort of bad ammo, the embarrassment of a malfunction at the range, and worse. The EGW .38 Super checker gives you confidence that every round you fire is within spec, whether you're developing a match load or verifying factory ammunition for your competition gun or carry piece.

A cartridge checker is a precision go/no-go gauge that verifies ammunition is within chamber specifications before firing. It catches out-of-spec rounds—whether factory or reloaded—that could cause feeding failures, jams, or misfires, saving you range time and preventing malfunctions.
Yes. The checker works on factory-loaded ammunition and reloaded ammo alike, making it useful whether you're verifying commercial rounds or validating your own reloading process.
The 7-hole configuration lets you check multiple rounds at once, speeding up quality control during your reloading session rather than checking one round at a time.
Yes. The checker measures both minimum case diameter and maximum overall length, the two critical dimensions for safe chamber fit and reliable function.
