The CZ Custom SP-01 Shadow is a tuned 9mm tactical pistol built on CZ's proven DA/SA platform, delivered with a factory-fresh trigger job and competition-grade internals. This 4.6-inch barrel variant splits the difference between concealability and sight radius, making it equally at home on the range, in duty carry, or as a serious defensive sidearm. If you want a CZ SP-01 that shoots tighter out of the box than stock, the Custom variant delivers without forcing you to send it to a gunsmith.
The headline upgrade is CZ Custom's Ghost hammer paired with a short-reach, short-reset trigger kit—both designed to eliminate take-up slop and reduce the distance your finger travels between shots. That responsiveness is backed by a 13-pound mainspring, an 11-pound recoil spring, and a stainless steel guide rod that keeps everything cycling smoothly and consistently. The extended firing pin ensures reliable ignition across duty and defensive loads. Three 19-round magazines come in the box, giving you solid capacity for training or carry without sacrificing the SP-01's ergonomic frame.
The fixed rear sight pairs with a fiber optic front sight—the fiber rod gathers ambient light to create a glowing aiming point that's fast to pick up in variable lighting and natural to track during rapid fire. It's a practical upgrade over traditional black sights, especially if you shoot in morning or evening conditions or under indoor range lights. The SP-01 Shadow profile keeps the slide profile compact while the frame geometry remains one of the best-in-class for hand-fit and recoil control in its class.
| Caliber | 9mm |

The Custom SP-01 Shadow ships with a factory trigger job (Ghost hammer and short-reach/short-reset kit), upgraded sights (fiber optic front), and internal tuning (extended firing pin, optimized springs) that improve out-of-the-box accuracy and trigger response. A standard SP-01 requires gunsmith work to achieve the same level of refinement.
The 4.6-inch barrel works for both. It's shorter than a full-size competition gun, so it's practical for concealed carry with an appropriate holster. It also gives you a longer sight radius than a compact, making it easier to shoot accurately at distance. The choice depends on your carry setup and comfort with the frame size—the SP-01 has a full-sized grip.
We don't have detailed cross-compatibility information in our records. We recommend contacting CZ USA directly or consulting their manual to confirm magazine compatibility before purchasing additional magazines.
The pistol comes with three 19-round magazines. Sights, grip, and other accessories are factory-installed; no additional tools or parts are included unless otherwise specified.
