The CZ 75 SP-01 9mm pistol brings proven European engineering to the full-size duty and defense market. Built on the legendary CZ 75 platform that has earned NATO approval, the SP-01 scales up the ergonomic refinements of the compact P-01 into a 4.6-inch barreled powerhouse designed for shooters who demand accuracy, control, and capacity. With an 18-round double-stack magazine, fixed night sights, a Picatinny rail for lights or lasers, and a steel frame wrapped in a corrosion-resistant polycoat finish, the SP-01 is equally at home on the range, in a duty rig, or as a serious carry option for those who can handle the heft.
Ergonomics matter in a fighting pistol, and CZ didn't cut corners here. The SP-01 features an extended beavertail that shields your strong hand while allowing a deeper, more secure purchase on the grip. Checkering on the front and back straps gives you positive control in wet conditions, and the geometry borrowed from the P-01 genuinely reduces felt recoil—a benefit you'll notice on rapid-fire strings and during transitions between targets. The cold hammer-forged barrel, manual safety, and firing-pin block safety round out a design that prioritizes both shootability and reliability.
Rubber grip panels keep your hands planted without slipping, and the integral accessory rail opens the door to modern tactical setups without requiring gunsmithing. At 2.4 pounds with a total length of just over 8 inches, the SP-01 sits in that sweet spot between full-size authority and reasonable carry ergonomics. This is a pistol built by shooters for shooters—no marketing fluff, just solid Czech steel and decades of platform refinement.

At 8.15 inches overall and 2.4 pounds, the SP-01 is a full-size pistol better suited to open carry, duty use, or home defense than everyday concealed carry. If you're looking for a CZ 75 platform gun optimized for CCW, the compact P-01 is the traditional choice. That said, some experienced carriers do use the SP-01 with proper holstering and wardrobe.
Based on the product specifications, the SP-01 comes with the gun itself, rubber grip panels, night sights, the integral Picatinny rail, and at least one 18-round magazine. Confirm final package contents with us before purchase, as some retailers bundle additional magazines or accessories.
Yes. The SP-01 features a standard 1913 Picatinny rail on the dust cover, which accepts any modern weapon light, laser, or combo unit designed for that interface. This makes it easy to add lights for home defense or tactical training without aftermarket modification.
The SP-01 is built on CZ's time-tested DA/SA platform, which has earned NATO approval. It prioritizes ergonomics (extended beavertail, improved grip geometry, reduced perceived recoil) and capacity (18 rounds) over micro-reflex sight compatibility. If you're choosing between the SP-01 and modern striker-fired designs, consider your trigger preference—DA/SA offers a safety advantage in certain contexts, but striker-fired guns offer faster sight picture in single-action mode.
