Cimarron Firearms Co
The Cimarron Firearms Model P .45 LC revolver with a 7.5-inch barrel is a faithful recreation of the 1873 Colt Peacemaker that defined the American frontier. Built with an old-model frame design—the pre-1896 style with the cylinder base pin screw located at the front of the frame—this single-action revolver balances historical authenticity with modern manufacturing standards. Whether you're a serious Cowboy Action shooter, a collector of Old West firearms, or someone who simply appreciates the legendary lines of a classic sixgun, this .45 Colt is built to handle both the shooting line and the trail.
Cimarron's reputation rests on delivering genuine reproductions that honor the original design while addressing the mechanical shortcomings of 19th-century production. The Model P's Cowboy Competition action is the proof—smoother, more reliable, and more shootable than the guns that won the West, but unmistakably period-correct in appearance and handling. The 7.5-inch barrel sits right in the sweet spot between ballistic performance and practical carry, and the case-hardened old-model frame gives you that authentic color case harden finish that looks like it rolled off a cavalry quartermaster's bench a century and a half ago.
This particular configuration ships with a one-piece walnut grip and comes finished in your choice of Standard Blue, Charcoal Blue, or Original Finish. At 2.69 pounds, it's right-weighted for a full-sized Peacemaker—substantial enough to handle .45 Colt's recoil without jumping around, light enough to live on the hip all day. If you're building a Cowboy Action setup, populating a collection, or simply want the most historically faithful .45 Colt single-action on the market, the Cimarron Model P old-model frame is the choice serious shooters reach for.
