Cimarron Firearms Co
The Cimarron Firearms Co 1858 New Model Army .45 LC revolver brings authentic Old West handling to modern cartridge shooting. This 5.5-inch barrel variant captures the look and feel of the original Remington percussion revolvers that saw service during the Civil War era, but in a practical, self-contained centerfire package. If you're into Cowboy Action Shooting, historical reenactment, or simply prefer the ergonomics and reliability of a classic single-action revolver, this is a genuine alternative to modern designs—built by gunsmiths who understand what made the originals work.
Cimarron didn't just slap a modern cartridge into an old design; they've refined the 1858 for shooters who want period authenticity without the fuss of cap-and-ball loading. The .45 Colt chambering is versatile, widely available, and delivers stopping power with handloading flexibility that serious revolver shooters appreciate. The 5.5-inch barrel strikes a balance between pointability and sight radius, making it equally at home on the range or in a holster. The included ejector rod lets you unload spent cases efficiently—a practical touch that honors the original design intent.
Available in Standard Blue or color case hardened finish, this revolver wears its heritage visibly. The octagon barrel, frame geometry, and grip shape all follow Remington's time-tested proportions. Whether you're a serious Cowboy Action competitor, a historical firearms enthusiast, or someone who simply appreciates solid single-action revolvers, the Cimarron 1858 New Model Army delivers genuine functionality wrapped in authentic aesthetics.
