Texas Weapon Systems
The Texas Weapon Systems Gen-3 Dog Leg Rail is a modern AK optics mount engineered specifically for the Century Arms C39/RAS-47 and other popular AK pattern rifles. If you're running an AK and want to move beyond iron sights without the guesswork of compatibility, this is the straightforward solution. The rail replaces your factory dust cover and rear sight leaf with a rock-solid optics platform that lets you mount a red dot, reflex sight, or scope directly over the receiver where it belongs.
The "dog leg" design—that distinctive forward cant—matches the natural angle of the AK's receiver, so your sight picture stays intuitive and your cheek weld clean. The Gen-3 iteration refines what worked before with a forward hinged, quick-release cover and rear cam-lock system that preserves the AK's legendary field-stripping capability. You can drop the whole rail without disturbing your optic, and the included takedown pin behind the hinge means you can remove the rail from the rifle whenever you need to—no scope removal required.
Installation is drop-in: no gunsmithing, no permanent modifications. The adjustable front tab lets you dial in the fit to your individual rifle, and the included hardware covers everything needed to get you running. The Gen-3 ships ready to go on the C39/RAS-47, and the rugged construction handles both stamped and milled receivers with equal confidence.
