The Carlson's 12GA IM Sporting Clays choke tube is engineered for shooters who demand tighter, more consistent patterns from their Benelli or Beretta semi-auto shotgun. Built from 17-4 stainless steel and precision-machined to exacting tolerances, this Improved Modified choke delivers the kind of shot consistency that makes the difference between breaking clays and watching them sail through. If you're running a competition gun or fine-tuning your upland and clay load, a quality aftermarket choke tube is one of the easiest upgrades to tighter grouping.
What sets this tube apart is its 25% larger parallel section compared to standard factory chokes. That extended parallel zone keeps shot pellets traveling together longer, which throws denser and more uniform patterns downrange. The difference isn't just theoretical—it's measurable on the clay range or in the field. The knurled end grip makes swapping tubes fast and intuitive, and the laser-marked constriction marking on the end eliminates guesswork when you're loading up between rounds.
This tube handles lead shot, steel shot, copperplated shot, nickel shot, Hevi-Shotshells, and buckshot without issue. One caveat: if you're running steel larger than BB, stick to Full or looser constrictions to avoid pressure spikes. Because of that longer parallel section, expect noticeably tighter patterns than you'd get from a flush-mount choke in the same constriction grade.
| Gauge | 12GA |
| Constriction | IM (Improved Modified) |
| Material | 17-4 Stainless Steel |
| Compatibility | Benelli/Beretta 12-gauge choke systems |
| Shot Types Approved | Lead, steel, copperplated, nickel, Hevi-Shotshells, buckshot |
Yes, this tube is designed for Benelli and Beretta 12-gauge choke systems. Verify your shotgun uses a standard Benelli/Beretta choke pattern before ordering.
The Carlson's Sporting Clays tube features a 25% larger parallel section, which throws tighter and more consistent patterns than standard factory chokes. You'll see measurable improvements in shot density, especially valuable for clay shooting or hunting situations where pattern consistency matters.
Yes, steel shot and other non-lead rounds work in this tube. However, avoid steel shot larger than BB if you're using constrictions tighter than Full, as pressure can spike.
The constriction is laser-marked on the end of the tube for easy reference in the field or at the bench.
