Bog Gear
The Bog Inception Backpack Frame is a purpose-built pack platform designed for backcountry hunts where every ounce matters and your gear needs to stay put over rough terrain. This frame accepts all Bog Helix Frame Bags in Large and Extra-Large sizes, letting you configure your load exactly how you need it for western hunting, mountain expeditions, or any multi-day backcountry pursuit. At just 2 lbs 11 oz, the Inception trades heft for capability—leaving maximum carrying capacity for meat, gear, and supplies on the pack out.
The frame itself is built around carbon fiber for rigid, lightweight support that won't sag or twist under heavy loads. The 420D micro-ripstop shell hits the sweet spot between durability and stealth; it's tough enough for brush and stone but quiet enough that you won't spook game on the stalk. YKK zippers run the access points—a small detail that matters when you're deep in the backcountry and need gear you can rely on in cold fingers or low light. The quick-buckle system snaps Helix bags on and off without fumbling, so you can swap configurations between hunts or adjust your rig on the fly.
Comfort features account for the fact that a pack frame lives on your back for 8, 10, or 12-hour days. The padded hip belt distributes load to your hips where your body wants to carry weight, and zippered pockets on the belt keep essentials like rangefinder, calls, or snacks within arm's reach. An adjustable sternum strap and load lifters lock the pack to your frame, preventing shifting that exhausts shoulders and throws off balance on technical slopes. A pliable meat shelf with compression straps secures a fresh quarter or your heaviest gear in the main chamber—designed to handle loads rated at 150 lbs through the buckles.
This is a frame-only piece; you'll pair it with Bog Helix bags to complete your system. If you're building a modular pack for variable-weight hunts or want to dial in every detail of your carry, the Inception gives you the foundation to do it.
