Betts Tackle
The Betts Falls Fly in Chartreuse/Black is a surface popper built to stir up bass and panfish in shallow water. This size 10 popper combines a slender body design with active rubber feelers that create deliberate commotion on the surface—exactly what predatory fish key in on when hunting. The vibrant chartreuse and black colorway cuts through varied water conditions, making it a solid choice for sight-casting or blind-working weedy shallows, dock edges, and vegetation-lined banks where topwater strikes happen fast.
The articulated rubber legs aren't just eye candy; they flex and wave with every twitch of your rod, mimicking struggling baitfish and triggering aggressive strikes. Built on a Mustad hook, you get dependable strength and sharpness for solid hooksets on active fish. This is a fly that rewards an active retrieve—twitching, popping, and pausing to let the legs do the talking between strips.
Whether you're throwing poppers during early morning glass-offs or mid-afternoon topwater sessions, the Falls Fly's proven silhouette and color combo have earned their place in fly boxes across the region. Keep one in your popper box as a workhorse pattern when fish are willing to come up.
