Betts Tackle
The Betts Falls Fly in White/Black Scale is a surface popper built to stir up action in shallow water and around structure. Size 10 makes it a natural choice for panfish, small bass, and other eager topwater feeders that respond to commotion. The slender body design keeps things realistic while the rubber feelers create movement and vibration on every twitch—exactly what triggers strikes when fish are in a feeding mood.
This popper's scale finish gives it a lifelike appearance in the water, and it rides on a quality Mustad hook that holds up to repeated casts and solid hooksets. Whether you're working a pond edge at dawn, casting into pockets around lily pads, or sight-fishing in clear shallows, the Falls Fly's compact profile and built-in action do the work for you.
Pair it with a light to medium fly rod and a floating line, and you'll have a versatile topwater option that doesn't require aggressive stripping to be effective. The rubber legs do most of the talking, making it forgiving for anglers still dialing in their popper technique.
| Size | 10 |
| Color | White/Black Scale |
| Hook | Mustad |
| Body Type | Slender Popper |
Size 10 is well-suited for panfish, bluegill, small bass, and other warmwater species that hunt small baitfish. It's also an effective choice for creek and pond fishing where larger poppers would be overkill.
The product details provided don't specify saltwater suitability. For salt environments, we'd recommend checking with our staff about corrosion resistance and material durability for your specific conditions.
The product specs don't specify a recommended line weight. Generally, a light to medium fly rod with a floating line works well for Size 10 poppers, but the right setup depends on your rod and the species you're targeting. Our fly fishing experts can help you match tackle to your needs.
