The ZeroTech Optics Thrive 4-16x50 rifle scope is built for shooters and hunters who need reliable magnification and clarity without paying for features they won't use. This second focal plane scope delivers a practical 4x-to-16x zoom range paired with a large 50mm objective lens—a proven combination for medium- to long-range precision work in variable light. The 30mm main tube gives you solid structural integrity and good light transmission, while the PHR4 illuminated reticle offers center-dot aiming and holdover references to help you stay on target during quick acquisitions and deliberate shots alike.
Build quality matters when you're counting on glass in the field. The Thrive's weathershield lens coating stands up to rain, dust, and moisture—the kind of environmental beating that field optics actually face. The capped turrets deliver 0.25 MOA per click, so your elevation and windage adjustments are repeatable and predictable. You get a soft neoprene cover in the box to protect the scope during transport and storage, and the whole package punches above its price point for hunters and range shooters who understand value.
This is a straightforward, no-nonsense scope: solid magnification range, good light gathering, a useful reticle, and enough durability to last. It's not marketed as a lightweight ultralong-range tool, nor is it a red-dot alternative—it's a workhorse for hunters and shooters who want clear glass and repeatable adjustments at a fair price.
| Magnification | 4-16x |
| Objective Lens Diameter | 50mm |
| Main Tube Diameter | 30mm |
| Reticle Type | PHR4 Illuminated (SFP / Second Focal Plane) |
| Turret Adjustment | 0.25 MOA per click |
| Lens Coating | Weathershield |
The ZeroTech Thrive is a second focal plane (SFP) scope, which means the reticle holdovers and subtensions are only true at maximum magnification (16x in this case). At lower magnifications, the reticle subtends less area, so it's best used at full power for precision shooting. This design is common in general-purpose hunting scopes and is often less expensive than first focal plane alternatives.
The 4-16x magnification and 50mm lens make it capable for medium- to long-range hunting applications. The PHR4 reticle with holdovers supports distance shooting, though your specific effective range depends on your firearm, ammunition, and skill. It's not marketed as a dedicated ultra-long-range or competition scope—it's positioned as a versatile option for hunters and shooters working across a range of distances.
The ZeroTech Thrive comes with a soft neoprene protective cover for transport and storage. Mounting rings and bases are not included; you'll need to source those separately based on your rifle's mount style.
The turrets are capped to protect them from accidental bumps in the field. Each click represents 0.25 MOA of elevation or windage adjustment, so precise, repeatable sight-in and correction is straightforward. You remove the caps to access and turn the turrets, then replace them for protection.
