Zerotech
The Zerotech Trace 4.5-27x50 with 30mm tube is a capable second focal plane scope built for precision shooting in tough conditions. This riflescope delivers a 4.5x magnification spread that handles everything from intermediate ranges to extreme distance work, housed in a robust 30mm tube that gives you solid mounting options and structural rigidity. The 50mm objective lens gathers plenty of light—the scope achieves 92% light transmission through quality glass and Weathershield coatings—so you'll have a bright sight picture whether you're hunting in low-light timber or shooting on a clear high-country afternoon.
The R3 reticle is the standout here. It's a clean, purpose-built design that keeps the busy subtension markings out of your way on lower magnification, then lets you use precise holdovers on high power without the reticle losing its effectiveness. The floating center dot sits clean, with MOA marks spelled out in dots and hash marks (every 4 MOA), and bold stadia bars at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock for fast target pickup. That's the philosophy of the Trace line—everything you need, nothing extraneous.
Handling and adjustment are solid. The Half Magnification Index helps you track your power setting in a glance. Zerotech's Precision Turret System (PTS) gives you repeatable adjustments, and the Zero Stop feature means you can dial back to your zero point confidently in the field. HD alloy flip-up covers protect the turrets and objective glass between sessions. Field of view runs 7.4 meters at low magnification and down to 1.3 meters at 27x—good spread for scanning and precision both.
The box includes everything you need to mount and maintain the scope: flip-up covers with a locking ring and dedicated tool, turret adjustment key, three spare grub screws, instruction manual, reticle range chart, and a microfiber cloth.
| Magnification | 4.5-27x |
| Objective Lens | 50mm |
| Tube Diameter | 30mm |
| Reticle Type | R3 SFP (second focal plane) |
| Field of View @ 100m | Low: 7.4m / High: 1.3m |
| Light Transmission | 92% |
| Lens Coating | Weathershield |
| Features | Zero Stop, PTS turrets, Half Magnification Index, glass-etched reticle |
| Included Accessories | HD alloy flip-up covers with locking ring tool, turret adjustment key, 3 spare grub screws, instruction manual, reticle range chart, microfiber cloth |
The Trace 4.5-27x covers 4.5 magnification on the low end up to 27x on high, making it versatile from intermediate ranges out to precision long-distance work. The field of view shrinks from 7.4 meters wide at low power to 1.3 meters at max magnification, so you have flexibility for both scanning and tight group work.
The R3 is specifically designed to give you precision holdover capability even in a second focal plane setup. The floating center dot sits clean and uncluttered, and the MOA subtensions (marked with dots and hash marks every 4 MOA) let you make accurate aim-point adjustments at any magnification without the reticle becoming unwieldy at lower powers. The bold stadia bars at cardinal points help with quick target acquisition too.
You get the scope, HD alloy flip-up lens covers (with their locking ring tool), a turret adjustment key, three spare grub screws, an instruction manual, a reticle range chart, and a microfiber cloth. You'll need to source rings or a mount appropriate for the 30mm tube, which depends on your rifle's receiver and platform.
Zero Stop lets you dial your elevation turret down to your confirmed zero point and have it physically stop there, so you can confidently dial back after making long-range adjustments without worrying about overshooting your zero or losing track of where it is.
