The Zerotech Trace Advanced 4-24x50 is a first focal plane precision rifle scope built for shooters who demand speed and accuracy in equal measure—whether you're running a PRS competition string or dialing for distant targets in the field. Made in Japan with a robust 30mm one-piece tube, this scope pairs a sophisticated optical platform with a reticle system and turret package designed to keep you on target fast, no matter the distance or wind.
The illuminated RMG reticle is the heart of this scope's precision advantage. Laid out in first focal plane so it scales with magnification, the RMG uses 0.5 mil subtensions with integrated 0.1 mil measuring bars—letting you hold elevation and windage without constantly dialing. The floating center dot gives you a clean zero and group reference, while the heavy bars and chevron ends at cardinal positions keep your eye centered even at lower power. For low-light or bright conditions, the illumination system keeps the reticle visible across your effective range.
The turret system—a precision turret with capped windage and an industry-standard zero stop—rewards shooters who value repeatability. The capped windage turret prevents accidental adjustments, while the zero stop lets you return to your baseline instantly when dialing solutions. Magnification throw lever and Tenebraex flip-up lens covers round out the practical design. Argon purging and Weathershield coatings protect your glass in the field, and Zerotech backs every scope with their AAA unconditional lifetime warranty.
This is a scope built for precision-focused shooters who've learned that the right reticle and turret system make the difference between fast shooting and fast, accurate shooting.

In a first focal plane (FFP) scope, the reticle is positioned in front of the rear lens, so it scales with magnification. This means your reticle measurements stay true at any power you're using—critical for both holdover and dialing-based shooting. The Trace Advanced's RMG reticle is FFP, so whether you're at 4x holding wind or at 24x dialing solutions, your mil marks remain accurate. Hunters and PRS competitors favor FFP for this reason: you don't have to remember different hold points at different magnifications.
The RMG reticle integrates 0.1 mil measuring bars and heavy chevron elements at cardinal positions, giving you two ways to engage targets. You can hold elevation and windage using the reticle itself—useful for fast follow-ups or when you want to preserve your turret clicks for your next shot. Or you can dial the turret for a more precise zero at distance. The zero stop ensures that when you dial, you can return to zero instantly without counting clicks.
Yes. The 4-24x magnification range and precision turret system make it equally at home in PRS competition as it is in hunting at distance. The removable magnification throw lever, capped windage turret, and fast-acting reticle support both styles of shooting. The 50mm objective gathers enough light for hunting conditions, while the optical quality and reticle finesse support the demands of precision competition.
The zero stop is a mechanical detent in the elevation turret that prevents you from accidentally dialing past your established zero. Once you've zeroed the scope, the zero stop lets you dial down confidently, and when you reach zero again, you feel and hear a tactile click. This speeds up the process of returning to your confirmed zero between shooting strings or when engaging targets at varying distances.
