Zastava Arms
The Zastava Arms ZPAPM70 7.62x39 rifle brings Cold War-era reliability into the modern sporting and hunting world with a distinctly collectible aesthetic. Built on the time-tested operating principles of the M70 platform—a design that has armed nations and proven itself across decades—this semi-automatic rifle combines legendary durability with practical features for shooters who value substance over trends. The gold-plated finish and red Serbian wood furniture make this rifle a standout in any collection, while the engineering underneath ensures it performs just as well as it looks.
Built tough for real-world use, the ZPAPM70 features a cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel paired with a double-stack bolt and 1.5mm bulged trunnion receiver—the kind of construction that keeps working in harsh conditions. The gas-operated semi-automatic system is straightforward and reliable, with a bolt hold-open notch on the safety selector for convenient magazine changes. Adjustable front and rear iron sights come ready to use, and the integrated left-side rail lets you mount your favorite optic if you want to modernize your sight picture. One 30-round magazine is included, giving you real capacity for the range or hunting scenarios where it counts.
At just 7.9 pounds with a 16.3-inch barrel and 35-inch overall length, the ZPAPM70 handles like a rifle built for work—compact enough for hunting, light enough for a long day afield, and sturdy enough to last generations. If you're drawn to AK-platform rifles but want a legal semi-automatic sporting rifle with genuine character and proven reliability, this is worth a serious look.
