Xcaliber Knife Company
The Xcaliber Knife Company 9mm Medium OTF (out-the-front) knife is a compact, reliable blade for hunters, outdoorsmen, and tactical users who need a pocket-carry option that deploys fast. With a 3.25" 440C stainless steel drop point blade and a 4.64" steel handle, this is a mid-size OTF that balances cutting performance with practical everyday carry. The drop point geometry gives you both edge control for camp tasks and a robust tip that resists breaking under field use—whether you're processing game, breaking down cardboard at the truck, or handling rope and cordage.
OTF knives appeal to users who value one-handed deployment and a slim profile. The 440C stainless blade resists corrosion in wet conditions and cleans up easily after use, making it a solid choice if you're working in damp hunting camps or coastal overlanding terrain. The steel handle adds durability and weight that many prefer for control and reliability compared to lighter materials.
This medium-format OTF sits between the smallest pocket knives and full-sized utility blades, making it a versatile companion for camp, truck, or belt carry. Xcaliber builds straightforward, no-nonsense tools—not mall ninja gear—so you get honest performance without paying for hype.
| Blade Length | 3.25" |
| Blade Material | 440C Stainless Steel |
| Blade Style | Drop Point |
| Handle Length | 4.64" |
| Handle Material | Steel |
| Type | Out-the-Front (OTF) |
| Size Class | Medium |
A drop point blade curves downward from the spine to the tip, creating a reinforced, less-acute point than a clip or tanto. This design excels at general cutting, slicing, and field dressing—the slight curve gives better edge control, and the stronger tip resists breaking or rolling when you're working wood, rope, or meat.
Yes. 440C resists corrosion and rust in wet, salty, or humid conditions, and it's easy to clean and maintain. It's a middle-ground choice between softer, easier-to-sharpen stainless and harder, more wear-resistant carbon steels—reliable for field work without the maintenance burden of high-carbon blades.
The medium size and steel handle make it well-suited to daily carry in a pocket, bag, or truck box. At 3.25" blade length, it's compact enough to carry casually but substantial enough for real camp and hunting tasks.
An out-the-front knife deploys with a button or lever, extending the blade straight forward from the handle. OTF knives deploy one-handed and retract fully into the handle, making them compact when closed and fast to access when you need them.
