The WOOX Thunderbird throwing axe in purple is purpose-built for competitive and recreational axe throwing. Built to meet both WATL and IATF competition standards, this tomahawk-style axe combines a lightweight head design for improved accuracy with genuine American Appalachian hickory and Italian tempered carbon steel construction. Whether you're stepping up to sanctioned competition or honing your technique at the range, the Thunderbird delivers the balance and reliability serious throwers demand.
Beyond the throwing lane, the Thunderbird doubles as a capable one-handed wood cutter—handy for camp chores or quick chopping jobs when you need a tool that works fast. The 14-inch handle gives you control and maneuverability, and the lightweight head reduces fatigue during extended throwing sessions. The purple finish isn't just distinctive; it makes spotting your axe downrange easier and lets you coordinate with team throwers or stand out in singles competition.
The package includes a protective sheath to keep the blade safe between throws and protect you from accidental contact. A dual-grit whetstone puck rounds out the kit, so you can maintain the edge and keep your Thunderbird performing at its peak. If you're serious about axe throwing—whether competitive or casual—this is a tool built to the standards that matter.
