Woox
The WOOX Thunderbird throwing axe in green is purpose-built for competitive and recreational throwing, blending specialized design with traditional craftsmanship. Whether you're stepping up to sanctioned competition or honing your technique at the range, this tomahawk-style head delivers the balance and flight characteristics serious throwers demand. The lightweight head design prioritizes accuracy and rotation consistency—critical advantages in both tournament and casual throwing scenarios.
Beyond the throwing circle, the Thunderbird doubles as a capable one-handed chopping tool for camp or yard work when you need efficiency in a compact package. The 14-inch handle is American Appalachian hickory, a time-tested wood that absorbs impact and delivers reliable performance across seasons. The Italian tempered carbon steel head handles repeated throws and functional use without premature dulling or chipping, and the green finish makes it easy to spot in grass or brush and distinguish your axe in multi-thrower events.
WOOX engineered the Thunderbird to meet all National and International competition standards (WATL & IATF), so if you're serious about the sport, this axe will be legal on any sanctioned range. The color options—including this green variant—are ideal for team events or personal preference, letting you build a matched set or simply stand out at the range.

| Competition Certified | WATL & IATF Approved |
Yes. The Thunderbird meets all National and International competition requirements for both WATL and IATF sanctioned events, so it's tournament-ready out of the box.
Absolutely. The tomahawk design works effectively as a one-handed chopping tool for camp tasks, yard work, or quick cutting jobs where a full-sized axe would be overkill.
A lighter head requires less force to throw and provides better control over rotation and accuracy, which is why competitive throwing axes prioritize this design. It also reduces fatigue during extended throwing sessions.
The bright green finish makes your axe easy to spot in grass or brush after a throw, and in team or multi-thrower events, color helps distinguish your axe from others on the range.
