The Winchester 70 Super Grade French Walnut in .300 Win Mag represents one of the most refined hunting rifles in the Winchester lineup—a rifle built for shooters who refuse to compromise on craftsmanship or performance. This is a centerfire rifle purpose-built for serious long-range hunting, with the kind of fit and finish you'd expect from a prestige bolt-action platform. The Super Grade pairs Winchester's legendary Pre-64 action with meticulous attention to detail at every stage, from the polished blued barrel to the hand-selected walnut stock.

Built on a controlled-round-feed action with a three-position safety, the .300 Win Mag chamber delivers the velocity and energy hunters demand for extended-range shots on large game. The free-floating barrel wears a target crown and polished blued finish, supporting inherent accuracy right out of the box. Inside, the M.O.A. Trigger System provides a clean, predictable break. The action itself is jewelwork—literally: the bolt body receives jeweling that's as functional (easier to spot dust or debris) as it is beautiful, and the knurled bolt handle ensures confident operation in less-than-ideal conditions.

The stock showcases Grade AAA French walnut—wood selected for figure and grain, finished with a subtle shadowline cheekpiece for consistent scope mounting geometry. An ebony forearm tip caps the fore-end, and a polished steel pistol grip cap adds visual balance. Recessed sling swivel studs sit flush with the stock, ready to accept a field sling. Winchester's signature hinged floorplate (engraved on the Super Grade) allows easy round access, and the included Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad absorbs the magnum's recoil without sacrificing responsiveness.

This is a rifle for hunters who've earned the funds and the patience to own something genuinely exceptional—a platform that will pass down generations if properly cared for, and that will perform flawlessly in the field for as long as it's carried.
