The Winchester 70 Super Grade in .30-06 Springfield is a bolt-action rifle built on the same pre-64 action platform that made the Model 70 a legendary choice for hunters and shooters for generations. This particular rifle combines that time-tested action with Grade AAA French walnut and polished blued steel—a pairing that appeals to hunters who value both function and classic aesthetics. The Super Grade sits at the premium end of Winchester's modern 70 lineup, offering hand-selected wood and meticulous finishing that set it apart from production-line alternatives.

Built around Winchester's M.O.A. trigger system and a controlled-round-feed action, the Super Grade delivers reliable feeding and extraction in the field. The free-floating barrel with target crown supports inherent accuracy, while the three-position safety and controlled ejection give you the security and handling you need during the hunt. The jeweled bolt body, knurled bolt handle, and engraved hinged floorplate reflect the level of fit and finish throughout the rifle—details that don't just look good but make the gun easier to operate in all conditions.

The stock is where the Super Grade's character shines. Grade AAA French walnut, a shadowline cheekpiece, an ebony forearm tip, and a polished steel pistol grip cap combine to create a rifle that's as much a pleasure to carry as it is to shoot. A Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad rounds out the package, managing the .30-06's kick so you stay comfortable and in control. Recessed sling swivel studs are integrated into the receiver and stock, ready for your preferred carry system. This is a rifle for the hunter who understands that quality wood, precise machining, and dependable action work together to create an heirloom-grade firearm.
