Weatherby
The Weatherby MKV Guide in 6.5 RPM with a 22-inch barrel and muzzle brake is a lightweight, backcountry-ready rifle built for hunters who refuse to compromise between power and packability. Weatherby's Backcountry Guide series combines a modern magnum platform with meticulous weight reduction and recoil management—the kind of rig that makes sense when every ounce matters on a mountain hunt and every shot needs to count.
The MKV Guide starts with Weatherby's proven Mark V action, engineered for magnum reliability. The bolt features a deep spiral-fluted design that shaves weight and reduces bearing surface area, resulting in a smoother, more dependable bolt cycle. The rifle ships with a shorter BSF barrel, threaded at the muzzle for the included machined titanium Accubrake ST (0.625-24 thread pattern), which helps tame the recoil signature of this magnum caliber without requiring a separate purchase.
The stock is Peak 44's Blacktooth design, which integrates two Spartan Precision gunsmithing adapter points for ultralight accessory mounting. The 3DHex recoil pad uses a honeycomb geometry that collapses progressively, dispersing magnum recoil energy and converting a sharp kick into a manageable shove. Each stock is hand-painted, giving your rifle a distinct, finished appearance. An adjustable TriggerTech trigger comes factory-installed, so you can fine-tune pull weight to your preference right out of the box.
Built for serious backcountry hunters, the 6.5 RPM variant delivers modern magnum ballistics in a platform light enough to carry all day and tough enough to perform when conditions get rough.
