The Warne Tactical 1-piece base for Remington short-action rifles is a solid-steel mounting platform engineered for shooters who demand precision and reliability. Built on the Mil-Spec Picatinny rail system, this matte-finish base gives you a true, repeatable foundation for your optics—whether you're dialing in at the range or hunting from a long-distance setup. The 20 MOA built-in angle is ideal for rifles set up for extended-range shooting, letting you maximize your scope's elevation travel without running out of adjustment.

Warne has machined this base from solid steel with exacting tolerances. The 1913 Mil-Spec cross-slot design accepts both Picatinny and standard Weaver-style rings, so you're not locked into a single mounting option. It mounts securely to your Remington short-action receiver using T-15 Torx screws (torque to 25 in/lbs), and the matte black finish resists glare and blends with tactical and hunting setups alike.

If you're building or upgrading a Remington short-action for long-range work—whether match shooting, precision hunting, or dedicated long-distance field use—this base handles the job without fuss or compromise. It's the kind of foundational component that disappears into your rifle once installed, leaving you free to focus on glass quality and shot placement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this base work with my Remington rifle?

Yes, this base is designed for Remington short-action receivers. Confirm your rifle uses a short-action platform before purchasing.

What's the difference between this 20 MOA base and a standard one?

The 20 MOA angle is built into the base itself, angling your scope slightly upward on the receiver. This gives you more upward elevation adjustment in your scope, which is valuable for long-range shooting where you need extra travel to compensate for bullet drop. A standard base has zero angle.

Can I use Weaver rings on a Picatinny rail base?

Yes. This base's 1913 Mil-Spec Picatinny slots are compatible with both Picatinny and standard Weaver-style rings, giving you flexibility in ring selection.

How tight should I torque the mounting screws?

Torque the T-15 Torx fasteners to 25 in/lbs. This is firm enough for secure mounting without over-tightening, which can damage the receiver or base.
