Vz Grips
VZ Grips' Hydra 1911 Government grips deliver serious hand control without the bite. Built from G-10 material in black and gray, these full-size 1911 grips feature a deeply textured pattern inspired by deep-sea creatures—aggressively contoured to lock your hand in place during shooting, yet not so sharp they'll shred your palms or holster. The layered G-10 construction means the Hydra pattern shows off the material's natural striations, giving you grip that works as hard as it looks.
Whether you're running drills at the range, competing in a match, or keeping a pristine safe queen, these grips fit the full-size Government frame on most of the popular 1911 builds: Colt, Springfield Armory, Kimber, Les Baer, Dan Wesson, and other standard models. They're cut for ambidextrous safeties, so they'll work with your gun's configuration without modification.
At just over 2 ounces, they're light enough that you won't notice the weight addition, and the substantial grip surface means better control and faster target reacquisition. If you shoot a full-size 1911 and want grip texturing that actually performs in pressure situations, Hydra grips are worth the swap.

At a 4 out of 5 aggressiveness rating, the Hydra texture is firmly in the aggressive category, but it's designed to provide purchase without being overly sharp or uncomfortable. They work for range, competition, and serious use—just know that aggressive texturing will grip your hands and holster firmly.
Approximately 2.24 ounces. For most shooters, the improved control and hand security will outweigh a negligible mass increase on a full-size 1911.
Yes. The layered G-10 construction in black and gray is designed to display the depth and detail of the Hydra texture pattern through the material's natural striations, giving you both function and visual appeal.
