The Vertx VTX5713 VTAC 42" rifle case is a sling-style soft case built to move with you—whether you're heading to the range, traveling between hunting spots, or managing gear on the job. Designed to hold one rifle up to 42 inches, this compact rifle bag pairs everyday portability with the durability serious shooters expect. The single-sling carry system sits comfortably across your body and lets you access your rifle quickly without setting the bag down, making it ideal for hunters and operators who need to stay mobile without sacrificing security.
Built from 420D nylon ripstop with a poly-carbonate coating, the VTAC case is engineered to handle the scrapes, abrasions, and weather that come with field use and frequent transport. The ripstop construction resists tears, and the poly-carbonate finish sheds moisture and resists scuffing—meaning this bag will look and function like new after seasons of hard use. Whether you're hauling a rifle across public land, securing a firearm for transport, or keeping your rifle accessible during multi-day operations, the VTAC delivers toughness without unnecessary bulk.
This is a working rifle case for people who treat their gear like tools. It's not fancy, but it's reliable: straightforward sling carry, proven materials, and a 42-inch capacity that fits most modern rifle platforms. If you need a soft case that handles real-world conditions and won't slow you down, the Vertx VTAC 42" belongs in your rotation.

Yes. The VTAC is designed for transport and daily carry. The sling-style design and durable ripstop construction make it suitable for moving between locations, though soft cases offer less protection than hard cases in rough baggage handling environments.
The sling-style bag lets you wear it across your body and access your rifle without removing the case completely. The quick-doff design enables rapid deployment when you need to transition from carry to ready.
The 420D nylon ripstop with poly-carbonate coating provides moisture resistance and durability, though it is not fully waterproof. It will shed light rain and moisture but is not rated for full submersion.
